While in Paris last month, a dear, dear friend of mine, Emily, got engaged! (
Multiple dears because we've been close friends for a decade!)
Here is the romantic story from her own words, since I could never do it justice. The very day after she got back, me, her sister (
and Maid of Honor) and another good friend went over to see her and have an impromptu celebration! Since my camera comes with me most places I go, I was able to snag some shots of the occasion.

Toasting the bride-to-be (that's the MOH Sarah in the background) |

pink champagne, because, what else? I took a ton of champagne and flower shots that night. |

See? Here they are again, closer. I like the glint of light on the background glass. |

the beautiful one of a kind vintage ring! (Which, if you know Emily, and I do, is exactly what she wanted) |

The bride made us baked brie! |

Thinking beautiful bride thoughts
I hate when I leave the ISO on 1600 when I transition from inside to outside, although it was starting to darken outside |

Celebratory dinner
I used my external flash on this one cause restaurants just don't care about lighting up pictures! |
Next week I'm going to slip in a post on J's 30th birthday cause I
KNOW he will love that before I get into beach shots!
