It's not summer unless there are multiple weddings, and this summer was no different. Last up on my summer wedding schedule was a beautiful Sunday afternoon soiree in Newport for one of our law school friends and his lovely wife.
You seriously could NOT ask for a better day.

If there's one thing I hate, it's a random dude sitting in my shot.
I mean didn't he know I'd want to take photos of the setup before the ceremony??? |

I actually like that there's a partial obstruction and a happy father of the groom staring at them... |
Unfortunately I was a little too far away to catch my favorite moment, the Best Man "icing"** the groom during his toast. I also took less photos than I normally do at weddings (lately) in an effort to seem a little more normal and make sure that I had lots of fun without my eyes glued behind a camera. (I did, in fact, have a wonderful time).

For those not in the know, icing is tricking someone into unsuspectingly touching a Smirnoff Ice, which forces them to down the whole bottle at once. It's evil and fun.
