Ebony and Ivory

I've been hoarding this post for a year now, but I finally feel like I have enough black and white shots on here that it's time to post.

The first set were taken in black and white:
f/2, 1/1000th, ISO-1600, 50mm
Spotlight makes Ender look menacing. I enjoy the lens flare here though.
f/2, 1/80th, ISO-1600, 50mm
The fact that this is an icicle dates this photo better than I could
f/11, 1/8th, ISO-6400, 50mm
Interesting feature with my camera called black and white posterization
f/5.6, 1/50th, ISO-1600, 55mm
Going for a darker, grittier look

f/22, 1/50th, ISO-1600, 28mm
Pre-marriage, post-engagement impromptu photoshoot with Em and Jason

Now for some shots that were made black and white after the fact:
f/11, 1/400th, ISO-800, 70mm
Hey, look at that, more snow!
The little bit of blur in the center is actually probably precipitation from the flakes gathered on my lens..
but I like that it looks a bit like his breath is showing, so let's go with that explanation

f/2, 1/400th, ISO-1600, 50mm
I honestly can't remember whether this was taken in black and white or changed afterwards
But more harsh lighting on my Ender bender

f/3.5, 1/640th, ISO-400, 50mm
The tent at Gram's birthday party left a pink glow on everyone so I ended up
just making some of the shots black and white instead

f/3.5, 1/400th, ISO-400, 50mm
same as above!

f/1.8, 1/250th, ISO-800, 50mm
Some shots from Em's wedding, B&W style.
When you know someone else is editing too, you feel like you can do whatever with your version

f/4, 1/80th, ISO-800, 50mm

f/4, 1/80th, ISO-800, 50mm
Coming up soon is Colorado, Fire Island, and Bethany Beach! :-)
