My Personal Coloring Book

My new sister in law was telling me while we were on vacation how many of her photographer friends have certain trademarks in their photos that enable her to know whose it is before she sees the name. She went on to tell me that she generally knows a photo is mine by the color saturation. It's true, I love filling my photo with as much color as possible! First of all, whenever I'm going to be somewhere naturally colorful (like, Hello, Grand Cayman!) I set my camera to "color pop" mode. (A special Sony camera feature that I'm sure the other brands have something similar to). I also don't need to remind you of my love of my polarizer. Going back over my photos from our fabulous trip, I easily picked out what I think are some extra colorful shots.

I had two similar shots like this but I really enjoy the movement of the hammock and the green chair in the corner.

Our casa. I know you hear to not take pictures directly into the sun, but that's another thing I still like to do (best if there aren't people in the shot of course, or if there are, if you want them in shadow).

Much easier to look at these now that it's almost 50 and there's no snow on the ground! Not quite done with my Grand Cayman shots - one more set to come! Also have some shots from Emily's Bridal Shower and January photos of the day, among others.
