Wedding Joy

I've been in two weddings this year, which gave me the opportunity to take some behind the scenes photos in addition to the usual fare. Of COURSE I brought my camera with me. It gave me a whole new appreciation of what wedding photographers really do. On such an important day, there's a lot of pressure to take quality photos and help everyone look their best (I lucked out though since both the brides are gorgeous ladies). Here are some of my personal favorites:

f/5, 1/125th, ISO-1600, 28mm
Melly applying her lipstick. Gotta love a clear mirror shot.
f/6.3, 1/100th, ISO-10, 50mm
Nothing cuter than a man in a suit holding a smiling child

f/4, 1/10th, ISO-1600, 18mm
This would've been better if I had gotten more of their heads in the shot along with the cake. They're a little high up.
f/5.6, 1/8th, ISO-1600, 35mm

f/5.6, 1/80th, ISO-100, 35mm

f/5.6, 1/125th, ISO-100, 70mm
f/3.5, 1/125th, ISO-100, 18mm
Just a little ambiance

f/6.3, 1/320th, ISO-100,. 30mm
The back of Linnie's gorgeous dress

f/6.3, 1/60th, ISO-100, 28mm
Lovely ladies under the parasol

f/10, 1/40th, ISO-800, 18mm
A toast to the bride and groom

f/5.6, 1/40th, ISO-800, 55mm
In addition to the weddings I was in, I just got back from another summer wedding. The added benefit to this wedding was that the ceremony took place outside, and there's really nothing like natural light to make everyone look their best. While I did take some shots inside, they don't compare to what I got while outside:

f/11, 1/20th, ISO-100, 18mm
Beautiful flower arrangements

f/11, 1/60th, ISO-100, 26mm
I took a LOT of this scene with various configurations. It was a tough call, but I think I like this one best because you can see a little bride and groom on the left side.

f/11, 1/60th, ISO-100, 24mm
The beautiful bride having some fun with the camera

f/11, 1/60th, ISO-100, 20mm
I really like how the angle I'm at made them look great. And of course, the beautiful background helps too.

f/5.6, 1/60th, ISO-100, 40mm
Smiling Big Rock
I have so many more pictures to show from this summer already, ahh! The Engagement will come up next and then it's beach beach beach!
