Wedding Joy: Celebrate the Cervones

I took approximately 700 pictures during Emily and Jason's wedding weekend. As you can imagine, it wasn't a quick and easy process to sort through them, edit them, and organize them for blogging, facebook, etc. But I am proud to say that as of the moment of writing this entry, I am finally DONE. Thank you, Lightroom, for all your help! (And James in showing me the amazingness of Lightroom :-))

Of course with 700 pictures, there are bound to be a few winners...maybe even more than a few. More than I would put into a single blog entry. So instead, we'll have to make due with just a smattering of my favorites. Hopefully I can explain why I chose these!

PRE-WEDDING
Why this one? I mean besides Emily's funny expression? I love her positioning in the picture, I love the shadows, I love the rustic wall behind the formal chair....

I have one word, and that word is orange.

I am always captivated by pictures of my handsome husband. Especially when he's wearing a shirt that says "Minister" and standing in front of a lovely colorful background.

THE BIG DAY
A little bit of movement, a little bit of simplicity, a little bit of offcenteredness.
Didn't take advantage of the low f-stop ability of my 50mm though.

Wait, does Michelle like color?? Why yes, yes she does.

Gotta love a face in mirror shot, especially one with romantic lighting and a pretty lady

Some "bridal moments"
f/4, 1/80th, ISO-800, 50mm

This is one of Emily's favorites and therefore one of mine.
I mean it's the bride's day so what she likes is an auto win!
f/4, 1/80th, ISO-800, 50mm

That's a great lip color!

Part of a series of this boy being adorable. I love the action in this particular shot best.

While I don't really want the Best Man to be in shadow, I also love how the light
from the window illuminates just the bride and groom. And look how the groom's looking at her :)

Some photos where I really love the facial expressions:

I swear I was going for something good with this weird tilt. I swear it!

PHOTO BOMB

Exquisite

While I was bummed I never got any crisp dancing shots, I really enjoyed the movement here
 and think the blurriness works

I think the lighting here makes the photo look extra romantic

Overall, I was pretty happy with some of my shots. Definitely an improvement from last year's weddings, not just stylistically but with the editing.
